This output is based on statistical characterization of numerical model estimates of wave and circulation patterns over an approximately one year time frame. This data layer is primarily intended to show the overall distribution of the average stress values on large spatial scales, and should be used qualitatively. Intended users include scientific researchers and the coastal and marine spatial planning community.\n\ncdm_data_type = Other\nVARIABLES:\nindex\nsummerstress (Summer Bottom shear stress, Pa)\nspringstress (Spring Bottom shear stress, Pa)\nwinterstress (Winter Bottom shear stress, Pa)\nfallstress (Fall Bottom shear stress, Pa)\nstress (Annual Bottom shear stress, Pa)\nlongitude (degrees_east)\nlatitude (degrees_north)\n | https://nybsand.marine.rutgers.edu/erddap/metadata/fgdc/xml/MAB_median_bottom_stress_fgdc.xml | https://nybsand.marine.rutgers.edu/erddap/metadata/iso19115/xml/MAB_median_bottom_stress_iso19115.xml | https://nybsand.marine.rutgers.edu/erddap/info/MAB_median_bottom_stress/index.htmlTable | https://portal.midatlanticocean.org/data-catalog/![]() | https://nybsand.marine.rutgers.edu/erddap/rss/MAB_median_bottom_stress.rss | https://nybsand.marine.rutgers.edu/erddap/subscriptions/add.html?datasetID=MAB_median_bottom_stress&showErrors=false&email= | Rutgers University | MAB_median_bottom_stress

Survey stations were randomly selected to provide unbiased abundance measurements. The Nature Conservancy developed this science-based ecoregional assessment for the Northwest Atlantic Marine region (Bay of Fundy to Cape Hatteras, North Carolina). This assessment synthesizes information on oceanography, chemistry, geology, biology, and social science to inform decisions about coastal and marine ecosystems. The ten categories of targets identified as the primary structure for the marine ecoregional assessment are: coastal and estuarine habitats, benthic habitats, diadromous fish, demersal fish, pelagic fish, forage fish, nearshore shellfish, shorebirds and seabirds, marine mammals, and sea turtles.\n\ncdm_data_type = Other\nVARIABLES:\nindex\nlatitude (degrees_north)\nlongitude (degrees_east)\nhabitat_code (Numeric Habitat Code)\nsediment_code (Sediment Grain Size Code)\ndepth_code (Depth Range Code)\necological_code (Habitat Description Code)\nassoc_1_code (Associated Species Code 1)\nassoc_2_code (Associated Species Code 2)\nassoc_3_code (Associated Species Code 3)\n | https://nybsand.marine.rutgers.edu/erddap/metadata/fgdc/xml/Benthic_HABITATS_fgdc.xml | https://nybsand.marine.rutgers.edu/erddap/metadata/iso19115/xml/Benthic_HABITATS_iso19115.xml | https://nybsand.marine.rutgers.edu/erddap/info/Benthic_HABITATS/index.htmlTable | https://portal.midatlanticocean.org/data-catalog/![]() | https://nybsand.marine.rutgers.edu/erddap/rss/Benthic_HABITATS.rss | https://nybsand.marine.rutgers.edu/erddap/subscriptions/add.html?datasetID=Benthic_HABITATS&showErrors=false&email= | Rutgers University | Benthic_HABITATS
https://nybsand.marine.rutgers.edu/erddap/tabledap/MAB_mobility_percent | https://nybsand.marine.rutgers.edu/erddap/tabledap/MAB_mobility_percent.graph | public | Percentage of time sediment is mobile for May, 2010, May, 2011 at select points in the Middle Atlantic Bight | Percentage of time sediment is mobile for May, 2010 - May, 2011 at select points in the Middle Atlantic Bight. This GIS layer contains an estimate of the percentage of time sediment is mobile at select points in the Middle Atlantic Bight. This output is based on numerical models of wave and circulation used to estimate bottom shear stress over an approximately one year time frame, which is subsequently compared to critical stress values estimated from observed surface sediment texture data. This data layer is primarily intended to show the overall distribution of sediment mobility on large spatial scales, and should be used qualitatively. Intended users include scientific researchers and the coastal and marine spatial planning community. This data layer is a subset of the U.S. Geological Survey Sea Floor Stress and Sediment Mobility database, and contains the percentage of time sediment is mobile at select points in the Middle Atlantic Bight.\n\ncdm_data_type = Other\nVARIABLES:\nindex\nsummermobility (Summer Percentage of time sediment is mobile, Pa)\nspringmobility (Spring Percentage of time sediment is mobile, Pa)\nwintermobility (Winter Percentage of time sediment is mobile, Pa)\nfallmobility (Fall Percentage of time sediment is mobile, Pa)\nmobility (Annual Percentage of time sediment is mobile, percent)\nlongitude (degrees_east)\nlatitude (degrees_north)\n | https://nybsand.marine.rutgers.edu/erddap/metadata/fgdc/xml/MAB_mobility_percent_fgdc.xml | https://nybsand.marine.rutgers.edu/erddap/metadata/iso19115/xml/MAB_mobility_percent_iso19115.xml | https://nybsand.marine.rutgers.edu/erddap/info/MAB_mobility_percent/index.htmlTable | https://portal.midatlanticocean.org/data-catalog/![]() | https://nybsand.marine.rutgers.edu/erddap/rss/MAB_mobility_percent.rss | https://nybsand.marine.rutgers.edu/erddap/subscriptions/add.html?datasetID=MAB_mobility_percent&showErrors=false&email= | Rutgers University | MAB_mobility_percent |
